Postal Address: Required for formal submission to relevant authorities.
Email Address: Used to facilitate submission and confirm delivery.
Personal Comments: If provided, integrated into the generated objection letter.
1.2 Data Retained for Campaign Analysis
Postcode: Used anonymously by the campaign group to assess geographic engagement and outreach effectiveness. No personal identifiers are attached.
1.3 Data Retained for Legal and Security Obligations
IP Address: Stored to detect fraudulent or unauthorised activity and to comply with law enforcement requests, if required.
Browser Type: Collected for compatibility monitoring, fraud detection, and system security analysis.
ObjectNow never has access to your personal information at any time, as it's encrytped within our systems. However, please be aware that we cannot control whether the Energy Consents Unit or other authorities, such as the local council, publish your details on their websites. If you wish to request the removal or redaction of your information, you should contact the relevant organisation directly.
2. Data Retention and Deletion
ObjectNow applies a strict data minimisation policy. All personal data—excluding IP address and browser type—is permanently deleted immediately after your objection letter is submitted.
2.1 Retention of Technical Data
IP Address & Browser Type: Retained only as long as necessary to meet legal obligations and detect or prevent fraudulent use of the platform.
2.2 Retention of Anonymous Data
Postcode: Retained indefinitely in an anonymised format for campaign group analysis. This data is non-identifying and cannot be linked back to individuals.
